Founded by William Penn in the late 17th century, the "City of Brotherly Love" and has been a seat of freedom since its inception, best known for its role in the American Revolutionary War, Philadelphia saw the convening of the Continental Congress as well as the writing of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America.
